Toronto public relations firm Media Profile has established a new company, Consultation Communications, to seek out work from the federal Liberal government.
Media Profile is headed by Patrick Gossage, a one-time press secretary under former Liberal prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
Gossage says Consultation Communications will look for work from various government committees and consultative bodies.
The head of Ottawa-based Consultation Communications is Scott Reid, who joins the firm from a senior communications role with the Liberal Party of Canada.
(Reid is unrelated to Heather Reid of the public relations firm Heather Reid & Associates, which, last year, linked up with Media Profile to form Gossage/Reid, a public relations firm specializing in strategic communications.)
Among his duties with the Liberal party, Reid was responsible, during the fall federal election, for communications related to the Liberals’ ‘Red Book’ of policy promises.
To extend its reach, Consultation Communications will work with Media Profile in Toronto, Masse Communications of Montreal and The Humphreys Public Affairs Group of Ottawa. PA
