Kellogg Canada has named Jeff Montie as its new vice-president of marketing.
Montie, who joined Kellogg in 1987, was formerly vice-president of marketing, adult brands with Kellogg USA.
He replaces Philip Donne, who has been named general manager of Kellogg in Italy.
– The new president of Hostess-Frito Lay has added to his responsibilities by assuming the company’s top marketing post.
Dale Morrison, formerly vice-president of sales and marketing with u.s.-based Frito Lay’s Central Division, was named president of Hostess-Frito Lay in February.
Morrison replaced Jim Postl, who, after nearly three years on the job, had accepted a new position as president of u.s.-based Nabisco Foods’ International Division.
Earlier this month, Morrison took over the reins of marketing, when Paul Cooke, formerly vice-president of the department, moved over to become vice-president, product.
– Campbell Soup has announced several key personnel changes in its marketing department.
The new head of the department is Joel Davidson, who has been promoted to director of marketing from his previous post as category manager on Red and White soups.
Davidson joined Campbell’s u.s. head office seven years ago and was reassigned to the Canadian division in 1992.
Davidson’s replacement overseeing Red and White is Brett Marchand, previously a senior product manager with Procter & Gamble.
Marchand joined Campbell in March.
Maureen McCaffrey, formerly regional sales director for Ontario, has been named category manager, frozen foods.
McCaffrey replaces Lidwina Van Kooten, who has left the firm.
Also newly appointed as a category manager is Lori Hansford, who assumes the post in the grocery products division.
Hansford, formerly senior brand manager on Red and White soups, replaces Trish Sullivan, who has been shifted to the sales side of the organization.
– Ontario Lottery has appointed Josephine Stewart as vice-president, corporate communications, effective May 30.
Stewart, who lives in b.c., was most recently deputy minister, Department of Tourism and Culture, Government of Yukon.
– Merisel Canada has named Sharon Spring vice-president of marketing.
Spring, who has been with Merisel for the past six years, was previously director of marketing.

Katherine Wyard has joined DDB Needham Toronto as account group manager for the Healthcare Division.
Wyard is managing the Cipro account, and is responsible for the division’s new business development.
Wyard comes from six years with pharmaceutical company Parke-Davis.
– Montreal-based Cossette Communication-Marketing has added three creative group directors to its roster in the past six weeks.
They are: Francois Forget (Bell Canada); Yves Perreault (McDonald’s) and Jo-Ann Munro (Claritin, Cadillac-Fairview). Martin Ouellette (Culinar, Sports Experts) was also named a creative group director with the agency.

Jennifer Jolley has been appointed associate publisher of Harrowsmith Magazine/Harrowsmith Country Life.
Jolley has worked for Telemedia-owned Harrowsmith for the last 12 years, most recently as advertising director.
In her new position, Jolley will take on more responsibility in all facets of publishing. As well, she will continue to direct Harrowsmith advertising sales in Canada and the u.s.
Jolley will be based in Toronto.
– The new general manager of Transcontinental Publications’ economic publications division is Suzanne Paquet.
Before joining Montreal’s Transcontinental, Paquet was general manager of the Societe quebecoise d’information juridique, a producer and marketer of information products and legal documentation.
In her new job, Paquet will be responsible for the management and daily operation of the economic publications division
This division publishes Les Affaires, Affaires Plus, Commerce, pme, Info-Tech, Quebec Yachting and Tourisme Plus.
– John Kirkland has been appointed president of DBC Data Pros, a new sister company of Database Concepts in Mississauga, Ont.
Kirkland was formerly director of sales and marketing at Database Concepts.
– Sylvie Lalande, a former vice-president of Montreal-based Videoway, has been named president and chief executive of ubi, an electronic marketing consortium launched in Quebec this year.
– Monique Leonard, formerly of Quebecor, has been named president and a partner in Coscient Marketing, the sponsorship and derivative products division of Groupe Coscient, a Montreal film and tv production and distribution holding company.
Lyne Dubois and Lise Gosselin have also been hired to work for Coscient Marketing.
