Colgate-Palmolive Canada has named Nigel Burton as vice-president of marketing.

Burton has been general manager of the company’s u.s. oral care division for the past three years and was involved in the launch of such products as Stand-Up Tube and Colgate Baking Soda.

He replaces Roger Calmeyer, who has been promoted to general manager of Colgate’s operations in East Africa.

- United Parcel Service Canada has tapped Ron Wallace as president.

Wallace, who joined ups in 1966 and was most recently district manager for North Carolina, succeeds Chris Mahoney, who will be taking on a senior management role in the u.s. company.

- Advantex Marketing International appointed Aileen M. Locke to the newly created position of director of marketing, effective July 11.

Locke was previously direct marketing manager for the Financial Post DataGroup.

Before that, she was direct marketing manager for Eaton Credit.

Advantex provides incentive services, including HomePac, BabyPac, Advantage Card and The Star Card, to large daily newspapers through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Samplex and Advantex Marketing.
