La Ads of Toronto has picked up two clients, one in Budapest, and the other in Toronto.

In Toronto, the shop recently won the $1.3-million account of Royal de Versailles Jewellers and is preparing to launch a print and radio campaign.

The Hungarian client is The Bank Center, which Lawrence Ayliffe, LA Ads president and chief executive officer, says is the largest commercial development under way in Europe.

A referral netted LA Ads an invitation to pitch for the business against two Hungarian agencies and the Hungarian offices of two international agencies, including Young & Rubicam.

The Bank Center, a four-tower complex in the financial district of Budapest, is owned by International Financial Center Budapest, a partnership of Canadian and Hungarian investors, and the National Bank of Hungary.

la is developing a logo for the project and will be handling all advertising and collateral material, which will be produced in English and Hungarian.

The agency will be setting up a marketing office in Budapest to provide materials for the building’s leasing office.
