Cundari Group has promoted Elizabeth Walker to the recently created position of vice-president, strategies.

Walker, who joined the agency in 1991, has worked for agencies and client on a broad range of product categories, including pharmaceuticals, health and beauty aids and high technology.

Her previous post was vice-president, account director.

- Art director Michael Wurstlin has joined Vickers & Benson Advertising, Toronto as a partner for copywriter Philippe Garneau, who moved to the agency from Chiat/Day this past September.

Wurstlin, who has eight years’ experience in the business, just finished a brief stint with Cossette Communication-Marketing, Toronto.

Before that, he was at McCann-Erickson Advertising, where he worked on accounts such as Nestle, notably the recent ‘Cafe State Of Mind’ spot for Nescafe Cappuccino.

Before McCann, Wurstlin was with Young & Rubicam, MacLaren:Lintas and Medicus Intercon.

On the account side, Stacey Rammage has signed on with v&b as account executive, Ontario-wide advertising, for the McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Ontario business.

Rammage comes from McDonald’s, where she was marketing co-ordinator responsible for SkyDome and six downtown Toronto restaurants.

She replaces Lesli Lehman, who left a few months ago to join the video division of the Walt Disney Company.

- Promanad Communications of Mississauga, Ont. has added two new members to its team.

Michael Cross is senior art director working on accounts such as the Ontario Lottery Corporation, Sleeman Breweries and the Ontario Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Recreation.

Cross spent the past six years with Kert Advertising, Toronto. Before that, he was with Saffer Advertising for six years.

- David Allison has left his job as creative associate at MacLaren:Lintas, Calgary to freelance as a copywriter and strategist.

Allison has eight years of agency experience in Western Canada and has also worked at Highwood Communications, The Alligator Group and McKim Advertising.

- On Nov. 21, John Speakman, currently vice-president, group creative director at Young & Rubicam, joins Lowe sms as vice-president, associate creative director.

Speakman, an art director by trade, replaces Peter Day, also an art director, who will leave the agency at the end of the month.

The move is a homecoming of sorts for Speakman, who worked for Scali McCabe Sloves a number of years ago.

As well, copywriter Bill Lower, another Scali alumnus, returned recently from a work stint in the u.s. and has joined Lowe sms.

- Andrew Berthoff has signed on as senior consultant at Environics Communications.

Berthoff been working primarily with Canada’s high-technology market, first as a trade press journalist, and, most recently, as senior consultant with another public relations firm.
