CISS FM display depicts `new country’

Client: 92.5 CISS FM

Exhibit builder: ExpoSystems Canada

Category A: Portable Exhibits

Winner of The Color Prints Corporation 1994 Exhibit Excellence Award

Description:

This exhibit is a pop-up, scissors-type portable exhibit designed specifically for use in remote locations to boost corporate awareness and as a backdrop for live remote broadcasts.

The header panel conceals quartz lighting used to provide illumination for the large photo mural and to rear-light the corporate logo.

Cut out opaque letters provide strong corporate logo identification.

Client Objectives:

– To appeal to city listeners and portray the ‘new country’ definition in ciss fm’s music selections. It was essential that no remnant of a stereotypical country music image linger in the mind of the viewer.

– To have an exhibit with strong impact to overcome visual competition in a retail or mall environment.

– To maintain ciss fm’s strong corporate logo.

– To make possible quick and labor-free site installations with the minimum of shipping costs.

Objectives achieved:

The large dramatic Toronto skyline photograph accomplished the strong visual impact requirement and the quick and easy identification of new country music with the city listener.

Gone is any preconceived image associated with the term ‘country music.’

The strong corporate logo is accentuated by rear-lighting the header, creating a glow around the superimposed cut-out logo letters.

The pop-up system chosen to display the photo enlargement meant that handling and installation could be limited to one person in a standard automobile if no on-site broadcast was necessary.
