For the Record: NHational Hockey League Players’ Association and Kraft General Foods Canada have launched Be A Player Magazine, a glossy youth-targeted title.

Throughout January, Kraft distributed the winter issue in a major national retail promotion. This month, Be A Player has national newsstand distribution.

All proceeds from the magazine and the sale of Be A Player merchandise will go to the Former NHL Players Fund. The winter print run was 300,000.

The next issue is due in the spring.
