For the Record: Taxi’s Sauve sets up Alice

After striking out on his own last fall, Taxi, l’agence co-founder and award-winning copywriter Francois Sauve claims this time he really means it when he says his new agency, Alice, will stay small.

‘The plan is to work directly with clients,’ Sauve says. ‘You hire me, you get me.’

Despite his best efforts, however, Alice seems destined to grow.

Sauve has been meeting with several Toronto-based prospects and is already producing and directing a 26-week tv campaign for Le Lundi magazine.

The account, from Publicor Magazines, Quebecor’s magazine division, is worth $500,000.
