Fuji Graphic Systems Canada is gearing up to take part in the worldwide launch of two digital products aimed at the graphic arts, printing and publishing industries.

In May, Japan-based Fuji will unveil a top-secret, yet-to-be-named studio camera, priced in the $30,000 to $40,000 range.

As well, the firm will roll out a high-resolution digital printer that produces both photo quality prints and laminated transparencies for proofing.

The pair of products follows closely Fuji Photo Film’s introduction last month of two digital card cameras, the Fujix DS-505 and DS-515, developed in partnership with Nikon.

The target market for the digital card camera is professionals in industries such as real estate, journalism and heavy construction.

Norman Reedman, Fuji Graphic System’s vice-president of marketing, says the products will be advertised in trade publications related to their target industries.
