Goodwill heads to TV

For the first time ever, charitable agency Goodwill has gone beyond outdoor into tv. The two 30-sec. spots, by fcb of Toronto, run until March 10. Like the agency’s billboard and transit ads, the spots focus on letting people know that the funds raised from selling donated secondhand goods through Goodwill stores are used for job training.

One spot features an antique radio being used to mow a lawn, while an announcer explains that old goods can be used to train people in such areas as landscaping and computer technology.
