Concerned Children’s Advertisers – which includes companies such as McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada, Hershey Canada and Nestle Canada – has launched a new spot that encourages girls aged 11-14 (an age fraught with self-image problems) to take pride in who they are and develop their full potential. ‘We are Girls’ was created by Vickers & Benson Toronto and will start to air Sept. 3rd.
The cca, made up of 21 companies which target children in advertising, says it is ‘committed to creating and delivering messages that will help children to lead positive, balanced and healthy lives.’
