Nabisco rolls out promotion

Nabisco Brands is offering prizes, including a trip to a luxury resort, to coax consumers into buying more cookies.

Oreo’s ‘Dunk n Win’ promotion, starting mid-October and created by Toronto’s Vectra Marketing, is tied to the brand’s 85th birthday. A game card in each package of cookies will, when dipped in water, reveal prizes ranging from a family trip to a Club Med (Grand Prize) to a free bag of cookies.

The brand’s aor, Harrod & Mirlin, added a 15-second tag to the cookie’s tv spot, and also handled the media buy, which runs during prime time. A promotional spot will also run on ytv.

The last Oreo promotion took place in April and offered free 101 Dalmations tattoos in each package of cookies.
