AGENCIES:
Cheryl Lipman joins ICOM Information and Communications as director of marketing development. Most recently she was director of marketing development at Kraft Canada.
– Daniel Wiest has been appointed VP, direct marketing for McDonnell Haynes Advertising of Toronto. Bringing over 20 years of Canadian and U.S. marketing experience to McDonnell, Wiest has been VP, group account director at Gingko Direct and VP, account director at Wunderman Cato Johnson.
– Tom Cook has been appointed CFO of Wunderman Cato Johnson’s Toronto and Chicago divisions. Previously, he was CFO of Leo Burnett in Tokyo and Canada. He has also held financial and management positions at Ogilvy & Mather.
In another senior executive move, Paul MacMahon has been promoted from vice-president, group client services director to senior vice-president.
Also at WCJ, Roger Broad has joined the agency as director, database marketing. Most recently he was director, database services for Cohn & Wells. Broad brings depth of experience to WCJ with a recent focus on telecommunications clients at Cohn & Wells and several years in the New Zealand market working for Saatchi & Saatchi Direct and Ogilvy DataConsult.
Sari Schwartz comes to WCJ as human resources manager. Prior to joining WCJ, she was a human resources specialist at Nike Canada.
Karen Power signs on as account supervisor. She was previously an account manager at Taylor-Tarpay. Meanwhile, Chad Brooks has been named senior account executive. He joins WCJ from Rapp Collins Communicaide, where he was an account manager.
– Rita De Filippis has joined Carlson Marketing Group as account manager, automotive, with responsibility for the agency’s management of Ford’s Customer Viewpoint program. She was most recently project manager with Integrated Automotive Group.
Also at Carlson, James Lawrence has joined the agency as account executive, rewards, with responsibility for business development on the agency’s incentive rewards business. He was most recently with Maritz Canada.
