Country Style Donuts has picked Yield Integrated as its agency of record. The Toronto-based shop has been charged with developing a brand positioning for the 350-store chain. A multi-faceted promotional campaign in support of Country Style’s muffins – over the tagline ‘Practice Random Acts of Muffin’ness’ – will launch this month and run through December.

SmarTire has chosen Detroit Creative Group of Vancouver to handle branding for its wireless tire-pressure monitoring system. Realm Communications and Karyo Communications were also on the shortlist.

Hydrogenics, a developer of zero-emission hydrogen fuel-cell generators, has hired Toronto-based Ellis Teichman Communications to market the company to business clients and governments, as well as investors, consumers and employees. Nunavut Tourism has also hired Ellis Teichman to handle tourism advertising and promotion. A new advertising campaign will be launched to target Canadians 30-plus.

The Canadian Professional Golf Tour has appointed Calexis Advertising of Toronto its agency of record. The Canadian Tour is an associate member of the International Federation of PGA Tours and stages tournaments from January through December in North and Central America.
