Ikea North America has put its $76-million account into the hands of Carmichael Lynch of Minneapolis, Minn. The incumbent of 10 years, Deutsch, N.Y., did not take part in the review. The Martin Agency of Richmond, Va. and Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG of New York made it to the shortlist, but Bensimon•Byrne D’Arcy, the sole Canadian shop in the process, did not make the final cut.

President’s Choice Financial has hired Palmer Jarvis DDB to handle its mass media advertising account. An announcement about what shop will take over the direct marketing business, previously with Lowe RMP Direct, is expected soon.
