AGENCIES:

Jason Sikora has joined GreyInteractive Canada’s Toronto office to lead the company’s Global eMarketing Practice. He joins the agency from Chapters Online, where he was director of affiliate marketing. Prior to that, Sikora was marketing and Web site relations manager for ClickThrough Interactive Services (now 24/7 Media Canada).

Toronto-based VBDI recently announced two promotions in its Toronto office. Amber Colbourne has been promoted from account supervisor to account director, and Karin Tuira has been promoted from account executive to account supervisor.

SUPPLIERS:

Dr. Ben Cecil has been appointed VP, sales and channel management for Interact Direct Marketing, of London, Ont. He will lead the development of new business in full-service direct mail and database marketing production services, and pursue growth opportunities in online list cleansing. Cecil most recently served as a senior project consultant for a major U.S.-based automotive dot-com. Interact also recently named Kevin MacKinnon as VP, operations. MacKinnon, formerly an analyst for a major leasing firm’s e-business initiatives, will refine and expand Interact’s growing full-service direct marketing production programs.

Andrew Jackson has been named the new SVP, marketing at Markham, Ont.-based CRM and e-business solution provider InSystems. Prior to joining InSystems, he was VP, Internet imaging and corporate marketing with MGI Software.

ASSOCIATIONS:

The Direct Marketing Education Foundation (DMEF), the New York-based, non-profit, educational affiliate of the DMA, recently announced that former Rodale Inc. VP Thomas Stoneback, Ph.D., has become president of the DMEF, effective May 21. He succeeds Richard Montesi, who retired last December.
