Toronto-based direct agency Lowe RMP has 'retooled' its management team. Martin Strazovec was promoted from associate creative director to VP and managing director. Three other managers also made VP: director of client services Heather McDonald Cavanagh is responsible for overall client relations; director of operations Jeanette Lee Fritzler manages all production services, supplier relationships and agency operations; and creative director Steven Bochenek is managing Lowe RMP's creative product and department.

N5R.com, of Toronto, has appointed Daria Kaczmarskyj as VP of sales. Prior to joining N5R, Kaczmarskyj was director of client services for Dulles, Va.-based LifeMinders, one of the largest online direct marketing companies in the U.S.

Vancouver-based The Coastal Media Group (CMG), a division of Emailthatpays.com, an e-mail marketing company combining online direct marketing technology and traditional advertising, has appointed Brian Cobbe as president. Cobbe, who will be responsible for building the agency and attracting new clients, joins CMG with 20 years of marketing experience, 12 of them spent on the management team at Palmer Jarvis DDB.

Verizon Information Services, of Burnaby, one of the world’s largest yellow pages and online directory providers, which recently purchased Telus’ directory information services business, has announced that Scott Laver has been named VP and GM of the new company, Burnaby-based Dominion Information Services.

Server software and hardware developer PlateSpin, of Toronto, has announced the appointments of Dave Anderson, VP of sales and business development, and Peter Evans, VP of marketing and strategy. Prior to joining PlateSpin, Evans was VP marketing at FloNetwork, which was recently acquired by DoubleClick.
