Tourism Sun Peaks has appointed Vince Accardi as director of marketing and media relations. He relocates from Gotta Travel Tours in Toronto to the Kamloops, B.C.-based company.

Art publishing firm Atelier America has promoted Paul Stainton to the newly created position of director of direct and Web marketing. Stainton joined the Markham, Ont-based company in April 2001 to lead its online marketing initiative. In his expanded role he will oversee online and offline direct marketing goals.

Bob Bryant has been appointed to the newly created position of chairman at TBWACanada. Bryant, who will be based in Vancouver, had been the chairman and CEO of Vancouver-based Bryant Fulton and Shee (BFS) since TBWAWorldwide purchased the agency last December.

Nancy Mitchell has returned to Rapp Collins Worldwide Canada as VP, managing director of its Toronto office. Mitchell, who worked at RCWC from 1994 to 1998, brings a total of 15 years of marketing experience to the agency, including a recent stint at Cohn & Wells Partners Euro RSCG.

Gee, Jeffery & Partners in Toronto has appointed Barry Quinn as creative director for its design division, D3. He comes from Spencer Francey Peters, bringing a wealth of experience in areas such as Web site design, advertising, corporate brochures and promotional material.

Starcom Worldwide Canada has promoted Erin Flaxman from strategy supervisor to strategy manager. Her new role at the Toronto office includes work on Nintendo, and UDV/Guinness assignments.

Gail MacDonald has joined Toronto-based event marketing company, Quattro Communications, as VP. She previously worked at Gillette Canada as director of promotion, sponsorship and event marketing.

Media planning and buying company, Mediactive, has promoted Robyn Ferry to media director. She will direct all planning and buying activities for the Edmonton-based agency.

FCB Toronto has made three additions to the agency’s staff. Jennifer Bell and Michael Armstrong both join from Leo Burnett as account supervisors. Catherine Demajo, who was previously with MacLaren McCann, is hired as account manager.

Perennial has hired Pella Economou as business manager. She joins the Toronto agency from Design Partners and will work on the President’s Choice packaging account.

Janet Dean has been promoted from associate account executive to account executive at Young & Rubicam in Toronto.

Design agency Summit Graphic Communications in Mississauga, Ont. has changed its name to Summit Creative Group, to reflect the diversity of the services now on offer.

CTV has appointed Donald Bastien as SVP and general manager of its recently acquired English-language television station, serving Quebec, CFCF Montreal. Prior to his appointment, Bastien spent 10 years running CTV’s national sales office in Quebec.

Montreal-based Digital Advertising Network has hired Deborah Arbour-Ruse and Suzanne Beaudry as senior national account managers. They will be responsible for media sales to national advertisers.
