The winners of the Canadian Direct Marketing Scholarship for business students, co-sponsored by Toronto direct agencies Lowe RMP, OgilvyOne and Vickers & Benson, Direct & Interactive – are getting on-the-job DM experience.
Earlier this month, business students Allison Hill (Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo), Mark Volk (Dalhousie University, Halifax), and Yin Wong (Richard Ivey School of Business, London) began their full-time paid summer placements at Lowe RMP, OgilvyOne and VBDI, respectively. The trio – selected on the merits of a 1,000-word essay about direct marketing – were also awarded with $2,500 scholarships.
The initiative was created to help breed new blood and foster awareness of the direct marketing industry. Over 50 submissions were made to this year’s contest.
