BBR’s design-a-thon

Designers are most creative when they’re pulling an all-nighter. That’s what Montreal-based Bleublancrouge’s team demonstrated during their first-ever overnight design session, 24hDesign, from Nov. 26 to 27.

The agency offered up its talent, pro bono, to help 10 new Montreal-based businesses develop their visual identities and brand personalities. The goal was to help the businesses during these tough economic times and to make Montreal a little more beautiful.

‘It’s good for us to help people. It’s a good feeling,’ says Marie-Hélène Trottier, CD, design at Bleublancrouge. The event allowed Trottier to challenge her team by seeing if they could produce great work under a tight time constraint.

Bleaublancrouge created a website, 24hdesign.ca, which documented the design marathon’s progress with numerous video and image posts. The finished products were put on display at Phillips Lounge in Montreal, where the event was held, and the making-of video is available to watch at vimeo.com search ‘Bleublancrouge’).
