Leo Burnett brings on Greenberg and Syberg-Olsen

Lisa Greenberg and Matt Syberg-Olsen fill the gap left by the departure of Israel Diaz from the agency.

In the wake of the departure of former SVP/CD Israel Diaz, Leo Burnett’s creative team has grown by two. Lisa Greenberg has been appointed its VP/CD, head of art, and Matt Syberg-Olsen as VP/associate CD and creative lead on the Bell business.

Greenberg joins Leo from Toronto-based GJP where she was CD, advertising and design.

‘Lisa is a great hire for us,’ says Judy John, SVP/CCO at Leo Burnett. ‘In her role as CD, head of art, she will have a huge impact on our work. With her roots and background in design, Lisa will bring a different approach, as well as a level of craft that’s world class.’

Syberg-Olsen marks his return to Leo Burnett after eight years, previously serving as a copywriter, and rejoining the agency from Extreme Group Toronto, where he was CD.

‘Matt has always been a talented and prolific writer,’ says John. ‘Now he returns with great leadership skills, having been CD at Arnold and Extreme Group. His experience is exactly what we need to further push our work on Bell.’
