GJP wins Arby’s and Andrew Simon

Todd Mackie and Denise Rossetto have been promoted to DDB Canada Toronto's newest co-CDs, filling Simon's shoes following his nine-year tenure with the agency.

Todd Mackie and Denise Rossetto have been named co-CDs of DDB Canada Toronto, replacing Andrew Simon.

Simon leaves DDB after nine years to assume new responsibilities at Gee Jeffrey & partners in a partnership role.

‘While I’m certainly excited about what’s ahead for me, I’m equally as excited about the appointment of Denise and Todd as co-creative directors at DDB,’ says Simon. ‘There are very few folks in this industry who can bring what the two of them offer – intelligence, business savvy and great creative thinking. DDB’s clients and staff will benefit immensely.’

Mackie and Rossetto, who’ve worked under Simon for the past six years, have produced work for clients including the Canadian Cancer Society, Subaru Canada and Capital One.

The news of Simon’s move to GJP follows on the heels of the agency’s announcement that it has become national AOR for Arby’s Canada, with both creative and media responsibility for all its integrated advertising and loyalty campaigns. GJP had already been working with the restaurant chain for several months on a project basis, developing campaigns like for the brand including this summer’s TV-led ‘Perfect Harmony’ campaign in support of Arby’s Bacon, Beef ‘n Cheddar sandwich.
