Isobar Toronto adds four to its fold

The agency brings aboard two new creative talents and two new members to its account services team in light of new business.

In an effort to bolster its core creative and strategic strengths, and thanks to the acquisition of three new accounts, Aegis Media’s Isobar has added four new people to its team in Toronto.

Joining as VP, creative director is Angie Kramer, who arrives at Isobar from Toronto-based Capital C where she worked on Nissan’s Hypercube social media launch. Before that, Kramer held positions at Insight Sports, MacLaren McCann and Fuse Design, where she worked on brands including Ben & Jerry’s Pepsi, Chapters Indigo, GM, Microsoft, Unilever and Scotiabank.

Rachel Ma, formerly of Rocket XL, has been brought onboard as art director working with Kramer. In her previous capacity she worked on accounts including Cadbury, Ikea, Samsung and Unilever. Before that she was an art director at both Capital C and MacLaren McCann.

‘Our objective is to build on our core creative and strategic strengths,’ said Matt Carter, SVP, managing director, Isobar, in a release. ‘Expanding our franchise in the digital space means enhancing our already impressive core group in Toronto so that we can offer our clients, no matter where they do business in the world, the ability to bring people and brands together like never before.’

On the account side, Isobar has welcomed Jason Beaulieu as senior account director to lead the account services team. Before landing at Isobar, Beaulieu was director, engagement management at Organic, where he was client lead on the Bank of America and Kimberly-Clark accounts.

Also joining the accounts services team is Simeon Olsberg, who was brought on as senior project manager and previously held senior project management positions at Organic, Blast Radius, CBC and ExtendMedia.

‘New hires bring more creativity, more ideas and mostly dedicated client service. We already had in place a great team for creative and for technology,’ says Jacques Dorion, CEO, Aegis Media Canada. ‘We needed to add depth to our client service as we recently won three major projects with clients. We will announce later, as soon as we have all final papers of Scope of Work confirmed.’
