DentusBos Montreal has appointed Claude Ringuette as creative director, as the agency’s VP, creative, Hugo Léger is set to retire.
Ringuette was most recently senior art director at Sid Lee. Prior to that, he was with Cossette and Palm + Havas. He has previously created work for brands including SAQ, Loto-Québec, Vidéotron, Volkswagen Canada, Molson, Coca-Cola and Bell.
Ringuette will work under Sebastien Rivest, also VP, creative at the shop. The pair will be working as a team to lead the Montreal office’s creative, working across clients, Rivest says, adding that Ringuette was a “natural choice” as the agency looks forward following Léger’s retirement, noting Ringuette’s eye for strong design and creative work.
“Claude is also a good friend of mine,” Rivest adds (the two worked together at Cossette earlier in their careers). “We grew up in advertising together.”
Léger has been with DentsuBos since 1994. A former journalist, he also had a brief stint at Cossette.
Earlier this month, DentsuBos added two new group creative directors – Lyranda Martin-Evans and Travis Cowdy – to its Toronto team.
Some of DentsuBos’ clients include Iogo, Toyota Canada, Lexus Canada and the Catholic Church of Montreal.
