On the Move: Agencies

– A new position has been created at Allard Communication Marketing in Montreal. Appointed to the position of senior vice-president and account group director is Ross Cammalleri. Cammalleri spent 11 years in a similar capacity at another agency before joining Allard.

– Barb Passmore, group media director, director of Media Research and Resources at J. Walter Thompson, Toronto, has been named to the agency’s new Global Media Research Group.

The research group is jwt’s global management unit for media resources around the world, and is intended to take advantage of the cumulative expertise of all the agency’s media researchers.

– bbdo is looking to fill some senior positions including managing director for BBDO Vancouver.

Gordon Kallio, executive vice-president managing director since late 1991, has left the agency and returned to the u.s.

In Toronto, a search is on for a replacement for Roger Kenrick, who had headed the Bell Canada business as senior vice-president.

Senior art director Rich Wakefield has joined BBDO Vancouver from BBDO Atlanta, where he worked on such accounts as Delta Airlines, Florida Tourism, and Southern Bell Telephone.

– Scott Dube has joined Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto as creative group head on accounts including American Express, Duracell, Midas, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Maxwell House and the agency’s Canadian Airlines International pitch.

Dube has been teamed up with o&m’s creative director, Steve Landsberg.

Dube, an art director, comes from three and a half years at Roche Macauley & Partners, where he did work for clients such as Ikea and Pharma Plus.

– Craig Copeland has returned to Palmer Jarvis Communications in Vancouver as senior writer after a year at Parallel Strategies, also of Vancouver. Ian Grais has been promoted to associate creative director from art director.
