Apple Canada has named Wallace Thompson as marketing communications manager.
Thompson joins Apple from Cossette Communication-Marketing, where he was an account director.
He replaces Bill Meldrum, who, before his departure from Apple, was director of advertising and marketing.
– Anne Marie Clune has been named director, customer service, public relations and communications for wireless service provider MicroCell 1-2-1 of Montreal.
Clune, who will work out of MicroCell’s Toronto office, was previously director of client service with The Creative Business Company, a Toronto corporate communications agency.
– Winnipeg native Ken Derrett has been named the National Basketball Association’s director of marketing, sponsor and media programs for Canada, effective March 20. At present, Derrett is manager of sports properties for Labatt Breweries.
– The Canadian Olympic Association has appointed Richard Stamper as its licensing manager.
Stamper comes to the coa from the Canadian Football League, where he played a similar role.
