Kirk Shearer, former publisher of Telemedia Communications’ Canadian Living, and vice-president of the Canadian Living franchise, has joined the Metro Toronto Convention and Visitors Association as president.

Carl Lovas, chairman of the association’s board of directors, says Shearer’s appointment will bring exceptional leadership and marketing skills to the organization.

Shearer is a native Torontonian. He replaces Bill Duron, who joined Toronto Life as publisher last year.
