montreal: Societe des relationnistes du Quebec, the Quebec trade association for public relations professionals, has named Andre Tranchemontagne, president of Brasserie Molson O’Keefe, recipient of its 1994 Grand Prix award.
The brewery executive is cited for his handling of the public relations crisis that errupted in the summer of 1993 when 10 bottles of Molson beer were found to contain a cleaning solution.
Five other winners were named at the annual awards ceremony held in Montreal recently.
– Jean-Paul Galarneau, Groupe Videotron director of public affairs, in the complete public relations program category.
– Louise Delisle, associate division head, institutional communications, Bell Quebec, in the internal public relations program category.
– Alban Asselin, Molson O’Keefe vice-president public affairs, in the external public relations program.
– Marie Morneau, of public relations house Perron Ducharme Communications Affaires publiques, in the special events section.
– Daniel Lammarre, executive vice-president, National Public Relations, Montreal, in the sponsorship program category. LRB
