Actmedia Canada has acquired Strategium Media and its subsidiary, InfoNet Media.
Actmedia President Peter Ainslie says the Canadian market for in-store marketing products and services was too small to support both companies.
Actmedia’s acquisition means the company will supply in-store marketing to 4,300 supermarkets, drugstores and mass merchandisers across the country, touching more than 20 million shoppers a week.
InfoNet
Toronto-based InfoNet was a major player in shelf-based promotions for the food and drug industries.
Ainslie and InfoNet founder, Matey Nedkov de Lecamp, plan to discuss European joint ventures after completion of the acquisition.
Both Actmedia and InfoNet have operations in Europe.
Actmedia Canada, based in Toronto, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Actmedia in the u.s., itself a subsidiary of Heritage Media in Dallas.
The parent company operates in 18 countries and has annual revenues of $240 million. DC
