Stanger to head up BBDO’s western media

David Stanger, one of bbdo’s top-ranking media people, is returning to Vancouver after a three-year stint in Toronto.

Stanger rejoins the Vancouver office of bbdo as senior vice-president, western media director.

Stanger was most recently senior vice-president and Toronto media director.

During his three years in Toronto, Stanger helped land the PepsiCo agency-of-record business and has worked directly on that account as managing director of the PepsiCo Communications Group.

He has presided over media planning and research in Toronto, as well as serving as media director for BBDO Retail, where he managed Team Chrysler Media.

Before moving to Toronto after the merger of the McKim Advertising and Baker Lovick organizations, Stanger spent eight years in Vancouver as media director and a managing partner in the successful Vancouver office of Baker Lovick.

Stanger moved to Toronto in 1991 as national media director of Baker Lovick.

In Vancouver, he replaces Margot Brown, who is returning to her native Winnipeg.
