John Bailey, vice-president of marketing for Joseph E. Seagram & Sons of Montreal, says the Canadian advertising assignment will remain with Academie Ogilvy of Montreal regardless of the outcome of the u.s. review now under way.
Earlier this month in the u.s., the company broke with its agency of 32 years, DDB Needham of New York, and put its account valued at US$40 million into review.
Bailey, vice-president of marketing for Seagram in Montreal, says Academie Ogilvy will continue to work with whatever new agency is chosen to adapt u.s. creative for global brands Chivas Regal and Glenlivet, while developing made-in-Canada advertising for Seagram domestic brands Crown Royal, Captain Morgan and all coolers.
