Consumers who buy a Super Nintendo entertainment system Super Set between Aug. 1 and Oct. 31 are eligible to receive a free game pak.

Nintendo of Canada has launched the offer in an effort to boost business outside of the traditional holiday shopping season.

The game pak (Super Mario All-Stars) represents a bonus value of about $79 on a Super Set purchase of about $159.

To publicize the offer, Nintendo has planned an advertising campaign that will include two tv commercials, a ‘merchandising blitz,’ point-of-sale materials and co-op advertising.
