YTV and Kraft General Foods Canada have a new promotion up and running.

From April 5 to May 1 during ytv’s After School Zone, the children’s tv service will invite viewers to send in a proof of purchase or a hand-drawn facsimile of the Berry Blue JELL-O brand characters, and the answer to a ytv trivia question.

Throughout the week of April 19, daily random draws will take place on air in the After School Zone, with each entry drawn winning a pair of in-line skates and safety gear.

These entries are also eligible to win the Grand Prize drawn May 1. All entries for the Grand Prize must be in by April 27.

The Grand Prize is a trip for four to Toronto, two nights in a hotel, four tickets to a Toronto Blue Jays game with a ytv program jockey, a tour of ytv’s studios and $300 spending money.

The contest was designed to complement the Kraft General Foods Canada ad campaign for the launch of its new Berry Blue flavor JELL-O.

– The first Good Food Festival runs for three days beginning May 28.

The festival, to be held in Toronto at Exhibition Place, is being sponsored by Loblaw Supermarkets and Toronto Life magazine. Media sponsors are cbc tv, chfi-fm and The Toronto Star.

The projected attendance at the festival is 40,000.

– The four finalists for the National Business Book Award have been announced by its sponsors, Coopers & Lybrand and The Financial Times of Canada.

Finalists are:

– Wendy Evans, Henry Lane and Shawna O’Grady for

Border Crossings: Doing Business in the U.S.

– Peter Foster for Self-Serve, the story of Petro- Canada

– Stuart Logie for Winging It, the tale of how the Challenger jet came about

– Svein Sigfusson for Sigfusson’s Roads, a personal saga of the late Prairie businessman.

The winner receives $10,000. The award will be made April 22.
