TBWAToronto tops up its talent

TBWAToronto has deepened its talent pool, adding six new creative minds to its team. The goal is to broaden its strength in media arts.

Writer Jonathan Smith, formerly of Sid Lee, has joined the team as associate CD. He rejoins the TBWA fold having originally worked at TBWAHuntLascaris in Johannesburg. Coming from The Hive in Toronto, and before that Lowe Roche and Margeotes /Fertitta in New York, Michelle Spivak has been brought on board as senior writer. Also joining the team are AD Dan Bache from Taxi in Vancouver, with previous experience at MacLaren McCann Vancouver; designer Kelly Ferguson, formerly of Toronto-based McDonnell Haynes, where she was responsible for corporate branding design and art direction; and the creative team of writer Francesco Grandi and AD Jason Lee, formerly of Ogilvy & Mather Toronto.

‘What distinguishes this impressive talent is each of them is well-versed in all of the media arts, not just one aspect of it, such as digital, or mass media,’ said Jack Neary, CCO, TBWAToronto. ‘This is a purposeful reflection of our approach and structure of one holistic team skilled in every aspect of a brand experience and communications channel.’
