The hotlist: a year of award wins, tabulated

Our hot Creative Report Card issue is back, chronicling the movers and shakers on the international, national and regional awards scene over the past year.

It won’t take you long to realize that when it came to individual accolades, it was Rethink’s year, as the Vancouver-based shop won an armful of big and shiny international awards led by its Science World campaign. Naturally, the folks behind it were catapulted into top spots of their respective categories.

Award-grabbing perennial Taxi also continued its stronghold, showing up in the top three in all categories. But it was DDB Canada that secured the title as the country’s most winning agency, for an impressive ninth-straight year.

Other noteworthy movement: St. John’s, Nfld.-based Target Marketing cracked the Top 10 while Downtown Partners slid from its third-place showing last year to 15th place. That’s what caught our eye; we’ll leave the rest to you. (And for the complete list, visit www.strategymag.com.)
