Pharma Plus courts teens

In keeping with the unspoken tradition that all the good stuff happens at your school after you’ve graduated, high school kids across Ontario are being treated by Katz Group Canada to a ‘Munchie Mania’ card giving them a free bag of Doritos and Pepsi product with every $20 purchase.

Launched last month, the promotion, through Katz’s Pharma Plus Drugmarts and Pharmx Rexall Drug Stores, runs to April 1, 2004. Right now, 25,000 free cards, along with free glow sticks, are being handed out at Sight and Sound video dance parties at various Ontario high schools. With every $20 purchase made using the card, students then get the Doritos and Pepsi product. The reusable cards come in four colours and are designed to double as key tags.

Katz Group operates over 200 Pharma Plus and Pharmx stores in Ontario, along with Herbies/Payless, Medicine Shoppe Canada, Guardian, I.D.A., ProPharm, MEDITrust Pharmacy and D.C. Labs.
