Hudson’s Bay Company has moved its $16-million broadcast advertising assignment to Padulo Integrated of Toronto without a review. The Bay plans to put a big focus on micro-marketing and Padulo’s responsibilities could expand to include some of these direct efforts. The account switch comes just over a year after Wolf Group Canada was awarded the business. (See story on page 1.)
Panasonic Canada has split its advertising account and has placed the industrial divisions assignment, estimated at $750,000, with Axmith McIntyre Wicht of Toronto. Palmer Jarvis DDB continues to handle the consumer side of the business.
The Calgary Regional Health Authority has completed its review and hired Highwood Communications of Calgary to handle its $500,000 account.
Mississauga, Ont.-based car rental company Thrifty Canada has consolidated its advertising with Bernstein-Rein Advertising of Kansas City, Mo., the shop used by its parent, Rent-A-Car Systems of Tulsa, Okla. Axmith McIntyre Wicht of Toronto previously had the business.
