Jack Neary is coming home to Canada, returning to TBWACanada to take the reins as its chief creative officer as of September 1.
The move is seeing Neary reunite with Jay Bertram, president of TBWACanada, rekindling a successful partnership that was born at Chiat/Day in Toronto, where Neary was creative leader during the ‘90s.
‘Jack brings a legacy of success that’s personally exciting for me as well as for my creative team, who are looking forward to working with him,’ says Bertram. ‘We know that creativity drives growth and the addition of Jack Neary will propel TBWAToronto forward.’
Neary, who was chief creative officer at BBDO Canada for 10 years, moved south of the border two-and-a-half years ago when he was enlisted by BBDO North America chairman and chief creative officer David Lubars to join the head office in New York. There, he led all creative work for the agency’s P&G brands around the world under the P&G Brand Agency Leader model. Being faced with the chance to come home to again work with Bertram was something he couldn’t resist.
‘Finding chemistry in this business is rare and the opportunity to team with Jay with whom I’ve enjoyed tremendous success was irresistible,’ says Neary. ‘Plus the opportunity to return to a culture I fit so well with was something I had to be a part of.’
