CUC Software buyers database

Toronto-based GETKO Direct Response, formerly Syntony Marketing, is managing the 4.5-million-name database of CUC Software, one of the largest pc consumer software groups in the world and the market leader in entertainment and gaming software.

The database contains buyers of Sierra Online, Sierra Home, Knowledge Adventure, Davidson & Associates, Berkley Systems and Blizzard Entertainment software.

Updated monthly, the cuc file also includes the names of 215,000 Canadian software buyers.

The names for this file have been sourced from warranty registrations and mail-order purchases of software upgrades and add-ons through solo direct mail and catalogue solicitations.

Soundview International

Direct Media of Greenwich, Conn. has announced that its Soundview International file has been updated, now offering 21,251 international buyers of – and inquirers about – Soundview’s executive summaries for the year’s top 30 business books.

Soundview’s international buyer count is 14,596, with 6,655 recent inquirers. u.s. and Canadian names are also available from Direct Media’s u.s. and Canadian list management division.

ICS French

Cornerstone List Management of Toronto has been appointed exclusive list manager for the 30,000-name International Correspondence Schools French list.

This file features 11,179 French-speaking male and 16,306 female inquirers and buyers of correspondence educational programs. Participants in the ICS Learning Program can select from more than 45 courses, including high school, accounting, English as a second language, computers and others.

These individuals have responded via many direct response

vehicles, including tv, space advertising and direct mail.

Quebec pharmacists and psychologists

Joncas Postexperts of Montreal is managing two new compiled files, containing the names and full addresses of all pharmacists and psychologists in the province of Quebec.

The counts on these annually updated files are 2,851 pharmacists and 5,027 psychologists. The Quebec Privacy Law does not apply to either of these two files.
