Smithkline Beecham Pharma has chosen Bozell Palmer Bonner to handle the $1-million advertising assignment for its biological division.
Also on the short-list was Lally McFarland & Pantello, a Toronto shop specializing in pharmaceutical business.
Bozell, which has no pharmaceutical experience, replaces Kennedy Huggins Marchant Shields of Toronto.
Kennedy Huggins recently resigned the account because of a conflict of interest. When the two-year-old agency picked up the account about a year ago, it was also the firm’s first pharmaceutical client.
