BCP Esso acct. grows

Imperial Oil has consolidated its Esso charge card business with BCP Strategy-Creativity of Montreal.

The agency had previously been handling only the French-language portion, while Saffer had the English assignment.

The account, along with its $18-million Esso brand business, was pulled from Saffer in November with the intention of distributing the duties to the other Imperial Oil agencies.

Toronto’s Goodgoll Curtis now has the brand assignment, as well as the Imperial Oil corporate and commercial advertising accounts.

BCP has been responsible for Esso’s French-language brand advertising and media planning since 1989.
