Bruce, Myers open new shop

Art director Duncan Bruce and copywriter Brad Myers open the doors of Bruce & Myers Creative Directions June 1 in Toronto.

The company has already signed a long-term contract with DDB Needham to be the creative team on the Volkswagen Canada business.

They replace the Volkswagen team of Julie Markle, art director; Barnaby Southgate, writer; and Marta Cutler, vice-president creative group head, who moved to MacLaren:Lintas earlier this year.

Bruce & Myers will devote 100% of its time to ddb and Volkswagen until the end of this year, and then will also take on other agency and individual clients.

Bruce has been senior art director at Chiat/Day, teamed up with Philippe Garneau on the Nissan account for the past year.

Before that he was with ddb for nearly five years working on Volkswagen.

Myers is currently senior writer at Ogilvy & Mather. PS
