Randy Diplock returns to Chiat/ Day next week as copywriter after a six-month stint in the same position at Franklin Dallas, Toronto.
Diplock will be working for clients Toshiba, Cineplex Odeon and Metropolitan Toronto Zoo.
Before Franklin Dallas, Diplock ran his own company for about a year and a half after leaving Chiat/Day, where he had been art director/writer for a year.
He was art director/writer at Scali McCabe Sloves before that.
Next week Chiat/Day is also installing a new creative team dedicated to the retail side of the Nissan Canada business.
Regional associations
Besides Nissan’s national advertising, the agency takes care of the accounts for five of the car maker’s regional associations.
The art director for the new Nissan dealer group is Wolfgang Hartmann, who has been in business for himself for some time.
Hartmann was previously with Cossette, where he worked with Jack Neary, Chiat/Day senior vice-president, creative director.
Susan Blowers is the writer on the team.
Most recently with The Case for Advertising, Blowers was also with Cossette before joining Case.
