McCann-Erickson, Toronto, has restructured its creative department in an effort to make it more responsive to clients and to clearly define reporting relationships and account responsibilities.
A new executive creative director has not yet been chosen.
That role has been filled by executive vice-president Stu Eaton since the departure of Joan McArthur last November.
Four creative directors have been promoted to vice-presidents, group creative directors: Terry Iles, John Kewley, Steve Blair and Jeff Lewis.
Iles and Kewley are directing the teams of Bill Wodhams/John Roberton and Joel Sears/Daryl Illsley on accounts such as Christie Brown, TD Bank, Mennen, Del Monte, Lever, Nabisco, Robin Hood and Minute Maid.
Blair and Lewis are responsible for business such as Coca-Cola, Lipton, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, GM Card and Five Alive.
The two creative teams in this group are incomplete.
A search is now under way for a writer to work with art director Joe Camilleri, and an art director to work with copywriter Beth Howard.
Stu Eaton says another creative team will also be hired, but adds its account responsibilities have not yet been decided.
