Prism penetrates P&G

Prism Communications of Toronto and N.W. Ayer of New York have extended their ‘strategic alliance’ to include Prism’s involvement in the advertising of two Procter & Gamble brands.

Jacquie D’Eon, general manager external affairs for p&g in Toronto, says Prism will be doing some work for Duncan Hines and Hawaiian Punch brands, but responsibility for the accounts remains with Ayer in New York.

Hawaiian Punch is sold as a concentrate to distributors and available only in Western Canada.

D’Eon would not comment about any expansion plans for the fruit-flavored beverage.

Kevin Tedesco, director of corporation communications for Ayer, says the relationship with Prism began in May when Ayer chose the agency to handle Canadian advertising for its client, AT&T Consumer Products.

‘Prism is a great agency to work with, and we’re glad to have the affiliation and to have them service several brands we handle in Canada,’ Tedesco says.

Prism Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Elliott Ettenberg was unavailable for comment. PS
