Just weeks after opening his own shop, Larry Anas is moving to the u.s.
Anas, who set up his own Toronto boutique, Anas & Company, in August, will take up a new post as vice-president, creative director at Louisville, Ky.-based Partlow and Stiebling Advertising.
Anas left McCann-Erickson to start his own Toronto shop on the second floor of the Taylor & Browning Design Associates building.
Anas, former senior vice-president, managing director and creative director of Foster Advertising, moved to McCann this past May when it folded sister company Foster into its operations.
He was vice-president, creative director at Chicago agencies Leo Burnett and DDB Needham from 1973 to 1981 when he moved to Canada to assume the same post with Vickers & Benson, Toronto.
He later joined Saatchi & Saatchi and operated his own Toronto restaurant before joining McCann-Erickson in 1988.
Smith Design is taking over Anas’ space and some of his projects.
The firm has been operated by Geoff Smith, formerly of Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi and ddb, for the past 10 years. PS
