Lesley Parrott joins MacLaren: Lintas next week in the new dual position of vice-president, director of creative and broadcast services.
Parrott, known as one of the leading broadcast producers in the industry, is leaving J. Walter Thompson where she has been director of creative services for the past 11 years.
In her new role, she will head MacLaren:Lintas’ broadcast department and have administrative responsibility for the creative department, working closely with Peter Lanyon, president and chief creative officer.
Parrott started in the business as a secretary at Braddock & Benson, and was a producer a year later.
She moved to Norman Craig Kummel, which later merged with fcb, Ogilvy & Mather, Hayhurst, and joined jwt for the first time in 1975.
In 1978, she signed on with MacLaren:Lintas for the first time, working with Lanyon while there, before returning to jwt in 1983.
