KFC moves to O&M

Kentucky Fried Chicken Canada has fallen in with the recent global alignment of the business and moved its $4-million account to Ogilvy & Mather from Young & Rubicam.

This past August, kfc’s US$80-million global assignment was moved to o&m after nearly 20 years with y&r.

The u.k. account, valued at US$9 million, was the first to move to o&m, starting a domino effect in 19 other countries outside the u.s.

The US$150-million domestic account remains with y&r.

Matt Kelly, director of strategic planning for KFC Canada, says there will be a transition period, but expects that o&m will have taken over by the end of the year. PS
