CP Hotels & Resorts puts account on the block

Canadian Pacific Hotels & Resorts is reviewing its account estimated between $8 million and $10 million.

BBDO Canada refused to take part in the review and resigned the business earlier this month, ending a relationship that began in 1889 when forerunner McKim Advertising was awarded the account.

Ann Checkley, cp director of communications, says the company is still assessing whether it will hire one national agency or several regional agencies.

Checkley says the account has not been reviewed for 10 years and the process will take as long as needed to find the right agency. PS
