Coyote Marketing Group, of Toronto, has been awarded the business for Guinness Import Company (Canada), marketer of premium imported beer.
The account had been handled in-house for the past few years.
During that time, most of the company’s efforts were below the line.
Guinness is now looking to maximize its brand positioning and new advertising is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
Guinness Canada, a division of Guinness PLC, imports its own international brands: Guinness Stout, Smithwick’s, Harp, Kilkenny, Red Stripe and Dragon Stout, and markets third-party brands Bass, Dab, Tennants, Stones and Grolsch. PS
